I think the other moms at library storytimes were starting to think I was crazy, the way I kept trying to give away my phone number! By the time RFC was first getting off the ground, I was feeling a little pessimistic about whether we’d ever find a circle of really close friends, but I decided to throw myself in headlong one last time. My boys have made so many good friends in this group - and, surprise! So have I! Joining RFC has really been the pivotal decision I’ve made in helping Wisconsin to stop being ‘that strange place to which I moved’ and start being ‘home.’”

Not only does the club have plenty for my always-on-the-go 3 year old, but I love the exchange of parenting information, speakers, and common-interest sub-clubs. “We joined the Racine Family Club nearly a year ago and are so happy we did. We’ve met some really wonderful people and feel that we have made some great and lasting friendships. Thanks to Amanda and everyone else who began this club…Racine really needed this! It took a lot of courage, patience, and time to start something this huge, and they can be proud of how they have changed many lives in Racine. This club has so much to offer and is such a great resource for families. The mission statement says, “Give what you can and take what you need”. Everyone in our family has enjoyed the club (dads’ basketball, moms’ night out, playgroup, special events). Thank you!”
